The C-HR isn’t actually on sale yet, so the info on it is limited; read on for what we do know right now. “C-HR” stands for “Coupe – High Rider,” despite its having four doors and riding kind of low for a crossover. Smaller than its corporate sibling the RAV4, it is bigger than the Nissan Juke and should have greater interior room. Toyota isn’t revealing powertrain info, so we are guessing it will have a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, a CVT and front-drive; all-wheel drive will be optional.
If the exploding subcompact-crossover segment were a party, Toyota would only now be showing up with a Black Eyed Peas CD and a sixer of Smirnoff Ice in hand well after everyone else has passed out. That’s how late Toyota is to this shindig. Kia kicked off the party in 2009 with the boxy, front-drive Soul and a horde of party-boy hamsters. During the introduction of the 2017 Toyota C-HR at the 2016 Geneva auto show, the Japanese automaker acknowledged that it was playing catch-up but made it clear that it’s determined to be the life of the party regardless. Toyota hopes it can stand out from the crowd of sober alternatives with a wild design that invites only one comparison—to the equally outgoing Nissan Juke.
Pricing and fuel economy are left to your imagination for now. Toyota does say the C-HR can be equipped with lane-departure warning and adaptive cruise control, although we can’t be certain they’ll be offered in the U.S., either. So even though the C-HR has nearly arrived at the party, it’s raised many more questions than it has answered. We’ll have to wait for the C-HR to arrive at a U.S. auto show to get any answers.
Toyota has yet to provide information regarding what features will be offered on the U.S.-spec C-HR, but the general paucity of buttons and switches visible in this particular car suggests that many functions are now being handled via the touchscreen interface, steering-wheel controls, or voice activation. What few buttons remain are clustered beneath the center vents, mounted at a slight angle toward the driver. Given the exterior’s insane styling, we expected more interesting designs for the steering wheel and the gauge cluster, but those are small nits to pick.
The term “redesign” takes a different meaning here, as most redesigns include a whole new look. For the R8, however, the exterior changes are quite light. There are a number of modifications under the skin and in the cabin of the new R8, but the big issue at hand here is whether or not these changes are enough to overcome Audi mailing in a revised exterior.
The way the exterior of your vehicle is trimmed is an expression of your taste and your lifestyle. This has to do with color, décor themes - with everything. Imagine yourself in a vehicle driving alongside yours. What would you think? Would you like it? Would you change anything? Now's the time.
Champion driver and professional fun-haver Vaughn Gittin Jr. along with his mischievous dog Brody take their 2015 Fiesta ST out for a routine grocery run. That is, until Brody has other ideas. Like holding down the traction control button while shooting his master a look that says, How ‘bout some of that foot to the floor fun driving of yours? Naturally, Vaughn is eager to comply — with an off-road thrill ride that throws the action into high gear
The front-wheel drive based small luxury crossover is one of the hottest segments on the market. The Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q3, Lexus NX and Acura RDX are all in the segment and after each other’s throats. The previous-gen BMW X1 was in the segment, but being smaller than the rest and rear-wheel drive based, it kind of stood out in the segment. Now, BMW jumped right into the fire.

Being how popular this segment is, the new X1 just became more important, and likely to sell far more, than the BMW X3, it’s current best-selling SUV. The X1 will clearly be the new popular BMW SUV, but should it be?
The AeroMobil 1.0 concept was rolled out in the early 1990s. A decidedly more sci-fi-looking concept was introduced in 1995 and developed up until 2010.

Between 2010 and 2013, the Slovakian company worked on the AeroMobil 2.5, described as a "pre-prototype" of the Aeromobil 3.0 concept unveiled last year. Built predominantly from advanced composite material, the vehicle contains all the main features likely to show up in the final product—avionics equipment, autopilot, and an advanced parachute deployment system.

Aside from the soaring over traffic congestion, AeroMobil's prototype also solves the quandary of take-off and landing limitations—the new model is reportedly capable of taking flight from a grass strip. Vaculik proposed laying patches of turf laid next to freeways and gas stations to allow AeroMobil drivers easy access to the air.

There are numerous hurdles the company and its futuristic vehicle must clear to get the go-ahead for sale in the United States, including local and state regulations, as well as what's likely to be a very steep initial price. But Vaculik was hopeful that costs will drop, making the AeroMobil more than just a toy for the rich.

He declined to name a specific price, telling the SXSW crowd only that the AeroMobil will go on sale for a "couple of hundred thousand" euros.hundred thousand" euros.

2016 BMW M235i - Interior and Exterior

2016 BMW M235i - Interior and Exterior

The best new cars coming in 2017, 2018 and beyond, including the BMW 5 Series, Ford Fiesta and Tesla Model 3
25 Cars Worth Waiting For 2016–2019 includes the 2018 Land Rover Defender.

Land Rover Defender has a huge pool of engines; this model as such, has more than three engine options. When it eventually rolls of the assembly line, it will have either the supercharged 5.0 L V8 engine or the 3.0 L V6 engine. Another option could be the 2.0 L and 2.4 L I-4 engine units developed for the Jaguar XE. All these comply with the newly released EU emissions policies as well as the EPA regulations. It is still too early to tell with certainty, the 2018 Land Rover Defender fuel economy figures. They however will be much better than the figures current models are posting. It is possible the new generation Land Rover will do 35 – 35 mpg combined.
The Land Rover DC100 elicited laughter from a cross-section of motor fans for its ‘cartoonish’ design. This same design however, is the basic structure upon which the new models arise. It is not easy ascertaining at this point if the exterior design and casing will is going to consist of aluminum-intensive uni body common in previous models but, it is almost a sure bet. The new design allows 2018 Land Rover Defender to incorporate elements of comfort and sophistication in this model with a lot more ease than they had with the past models. The exterior especially the front looks a lot more like the Discovery. The vehicle has a refined grill that acts to hasten engine cooling as well as improve air intake thus improving aerodynamics. The headlamps beat a hasty retreat from the round old generation. Expect as such, the running LED lights with accompanying indicators and taillights. The grille and fender too have taken a fresh design to assume a wraparound shape that screams ‘sporty’ while expressing the vehicle’s rugged nature. This model will borrow a lot from the 2017 DC100 including the brightly colored seats that complement the vehicle’s exterior. The colors so far adopted for the model include the deep red and yellow hues inspired by Africa’s vibrant ochre colors. The 2018 Land Rover Defender will most certainly have leather trims on its seats. These seats will most likely have a dominating breathable mesh cover in a bold Tribal Tech pattern. The design also factors brightly colored mats on the floor as well as accents and interior upholstery based on the Ombrae, a now predominant medium in art installations as well as modern architecture. These and the high-tech infotainment unit already available in other Land Rover models as well as luxurious and comfortable interiors will complete the 2018 Land Rover Defender.
Pop open the rear hatch-style door and you’ll unveil a full 34.3 cu. ft. of cargo space 7 – so you can carry the essentials you need for a fun-filled journey.

For 2016, Renault ushered in a new generation of the Megane hatchback and, to be quite honest, it is the Megane the world has been waiting for. The hatchback is now longer and wider than before, which gives it an awesome stance, new exterior light units, and interior design cues from the 2016 Renault Tailsman. A total of six engines were available at launch ranging between 90 and 205 horsepower, depending on configuration.

The standard Megane was the first to be announced and was followed by a GT and an Estate version, and not the company has just announced the Megane Sedan.

As a sedan, the car features the same front end as the hatch along with an identical side profile up to the rear doors. After that, the sedan takes on its own styling cues. The big news is that the Sedan features panoramic roof which, according to Renault, isn’t available on any vehicle in this segment. The sedan will be produced at the Bursa plant in Turkey and will be sold in at least 20 countries. As such, it will have a decent range of engines consisting of two gasoline mills and two diesel mills that offer up between 90 and 130 horsepower, depending on market.
Renault has yet to release official measurements for the new Megane Sedan, but considering it is identical to the hatchback all the way back to the rear doors, it’s safe to assume that it is just as wide as the hatchback. It also appears to have the same wheelbase and ride height, but it is a bit longer than the hatch thanks to its sedan nature.

With an official trunk in the rear, it looks like the Megan sedan is roughly about a foot longer in the rear.

The stationary window in the rear door is just a little bit taller, with the waistline at the rear sitting a little lower than on the hatchback version

There are a few minor differences to the side profile that are noticeable to the trained eye. First, the stationary window in the rear door is just a little bit taller, with the waistline at the rear sitting a little lower than on the hatchback version. Due to this styling, the body characteristics at the rear aren’t are prominent as they are on the hatch. The wraparound taillights are the same shape but are larger on the sedan than they are on the hatch. There is also a weird impression just behind the rear door’s glass, which is a little weird, but it seems to fit the contour of the slope in the rear. Renault brand.

Around back, the outer portions of the taillights are, indeed, taller, but the extensions that carry over onto the trunk lid are identical to those on the hatchback. The rear decklid swoops upward in the rear, providing a built-in, spoiler-like element. The rear fascia is similar to that of the hatch, but it features a small air vent in each corner as well as a pair of half-moon reflectors. With the panoramic roof giving a darker appearance to the top of the car, the sedan as a sporty and inviting two-tone look. Not bad, Renault – you actually built a decent sedan. As is the usual case with the introduction of new body style to an existing range, the Megane Sedan features an Identical interior to that of its hatchback and estate brothers.

As you can see it has chrome trim markers on the door panels, shifter handle, center console, center stack, and instrument cluster. The instrument cluster is made up of a seven-inch display, while the center stack features a vertically oriented, 8.7-inch RLINK2 infotainment system. While the display screen and system looks a little primitive – kind of like a tablet you might buy on eBay, for example – you’ve got to hand it to Renault for coming up with a simple and functional cabin.

The seating of the Sedan is identical to that of the hatchback, with the front seats featuring perforated center inserts and large bolsters on the sides to give them a sportier feel The seating of the Sedan is identical to that of the hatchback, with the front seats featuring perforated center inserts and large bolsters on the sides to give them a sportier feel. Renault has yet to release images of the rear seats, and this is where I expect there to be a little bit of difference. Since the Megane has traditionally been a hatchback, it’s only feasible to think that the rear seats in the sedan will lay down to provide even more cargo room in the event that it is needed. According to Renault’s press release, the Megane Sedan boasts “top-level rear-seat spaciousness,” with 17.94 cubic feet of trunk space. Furthermore, the trunk has hands-free access, which is also a newer feature for the

2016 Toyota Auri Hybrid Review

2016 Toyota Auri Hybrid Review

The Toyota Auris Hybrid ploughs a lonely furrow as a mainstream family hatchback with a hybrid powertrain. Although you can now get a Volkswagen Golf or Audi A3 with such an engine, those cars are focused more on dynamic thrills and are much more expensive as a result.

This is the second generation of Auris Hybrid. The first arrived in 2010 as a latecomer to the old shape Auris line-up, and was built alongside the other cars in the range at Toyota’s Burnaston plant here in the UK.

The current Auris was revealed in 2012 at the Paris motor show, with sales starting in early 2013. It’s based on Toyota's New MC platform that also underpins a four-door version still known as the Toyota Corolla in Japan, but here in the UK we’re only offered the five-door Auris hatchback and its Touring Sports sister model. The Auris range is still built at Burnaston in Derbyshire.
Heavily enhanced with carbon fiber and high-strength steel, Lexus says the LC is the most structurally rigid car it has ever produced; expect great handling as a result. Under the hood beats a 467-hp 5.0-liter V-8, driving the rear wheels; Lexus claims a 0-60 time of 4.5 seconds. A hybrid with 454 hp also will be offered. Look for both new LC models in 2017.
Sensual clarity combines with stylish sporting character – the Mercedes‑AMG C 63 inspires fascination from the very first glance. From a visual standpoint, the Saloon and Estate are both clearly members of the Mercedes‑AMG family. The exteriors of the Mercedes‑AMG C 63 and C 63 S are differentiated by specific design elements.
Every detail in the interior of the Mercedes‑AMG C 63 contributes to a stunning overall effect. The careful choice of select, first-class materials, their sumptuous tactile qualities and their precision craftsmanship deliver a sense of quality that is seldom seen even in higher vehicle classes
The high-tech drive, the signature AMG handling and the high level of individuality in equipment choices guarantee an utterly unique driving experience. The top model in the C-Class line-up is driven by a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine closely related to the power unit that provides breathtaking propulsion in the Mercedes‑AMG GT. The power spectrum ranges from 350 kW (476 hp) in the Mercedes‑AMG C 63 to 375 kW (510 hp) in the Mercedes‑AMG C 63 S. With an unrivalled fuel consumption figure of just 8.2 liters per 100 kilometers (NEDC combined), the Mercedes‑AMG C 63 is the most fuel-efficient eight-cylinder car in the high-performance segment. The extensive range of standard equipment includes the AMG RIDE CONTROL sports suspension with electronically controlled shock absorbers, the mechanical rear locking differential and the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs.
Other standard features include Burmester audio, a panoramic sunroof, blind-spot assist, LED headlamps and taillamps, heated seats, and a backup camera. Among the optional temptations—most of which are bundled into two option packages—are a head-up display; a larger, 8.4-inch infotainment screen with navigation; a 360-degree-view camera; Distronic Plus with Steering Assist, active lane keeping, and blind-spot assist; adaptive headlamps; automatic high-beams; and ventilated front seats. Mated to a nine-speed automatic, the engine makes sweet noises and revs happily up to its 6500-rpm redline. Still, it’s not quite a true AMG engine—at least not to the extent of the specially developed, mostly Affalterbach-built "one-man-one-engine" powerhouses fitted into the traditional AMG models. But the powertrain has been modified to fit the sharper, more aggressive character of an AMG. It performs rev-matching downshifts and makes all the right noises, and in the fairly light C-class coupe, it’s strong enough to put a grin on your face. By AMG's conservative estimate, the sprint to 60 mph takes just 4.6 seconds; top speed is governed at 155 mph.
Compared with the C300, it features a modified chassis setup with more negative wheel camber, a sports suspension with AMG Ride Control selectable three-stage adaptive variable damping, a sports-tuned steering system, and larger brakes (14.2-inch vented and perforated front discs, 12.6-inch vented rears). Updates include a new grille that delivers additional cooling air to the engine, a hood that’s 30 percent stiffer to avoid deflecting at high speed, and a more effective chin spoiler. Horizontal sill plates and a delicately recontoured C-pillar diminish turbulence down the sides and over the back of the body. A vertical corner fence borrowed from the previous NISMO GT-R and a more effective rear diffuser also improve aerodynamic performance.
Although the NISMO version does without many of the standard GT-R’s more luxurious interior bits, the new cabin marks a significant improvement. Nissan has reduced the number of center-stack buttons from 27 to 11, and a new, larger 8.0-inch touchscreen can also be operated via a console-mounted control knob. Microsuede adorns the dash and the redesigned steering wheel, and the Recaro seats feature red microsuede inserts.
